Eben Mosher, University of Vermont, Indoor Track & Field
The sophomore athlete was a standout in several events during his days in Chester and is now utilizing his versatility as a heptathlete for the Catamounts. Mosher finished eighth in the heptathlon at the America East Championships with 4,188 points. Mosher’s eighth place result was highlighted by finishing third in the 1,000-meter run in 2:48.88.
Grace Tyrrell, Stonehill College, Indoor Track & Field
The junior sprinter/hurdler had a strong showing at the NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships this season, placing fourth in the 500-meter dash. Tyrrell also placed fourth in the 500-meter run at last year’s NEC Championships, while also playing a key role on Stonehill’s winning 4 x 400-meter relay team. Tyrrell has continued to progress this winter in her third season with the program, earning personal bests in the 200-meter dash (26.20) and the 400-meter dash (58.43) at the 2025 Riverhawk Invitational.
Springfield
Ari Cioffi, University of New England, Women’s Swimming
The junior swimmer played a vital role in the Nor’Easters fourth place finish at the Little East Conference Championships in February. Cioffi was a member of UNE’s third place 200-yard freestyle relay and also reached the finals in the 200-yard individual freestyle event.
Alexis Coutermarsh, VTSU Castleton, Women’s Basketball
The freshman forward appeared in eight games for VTSU Lyndon during the fall semester before transferring to VTSU Castleton in the spring. Coutermarsh has registered 42 minutes played between the two in-state programs this season.
Olivia Howard, VTSU Castleton, Indoor Track & Field
The 2023 graduate of Springfield High School has been featured in several distance running events this winter after running cross-country for the Spartans in the fall. Howard earned personal bests in the 800-meter run (3:03.02), the 1,000-meter run (3:57.12) and the mile run (6:44.17) this season.
Bryan Stafford, Elmira College, Wrestling
The junior grappler has wrestled at multiple weights during his three seasons with the Soaring Eagles. Stafford finished his freshman season with a 9-15 total overall record before posting an 8-17 total overall record as a sophomore.
