Joyce R. Whitehurst (Brady)

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA– Joyce Rowena Whitehurst (Brady), 89, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2025, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California surrounded by her children and their spouses.
Born on February 4, 1936 in Springfield, Vermont, Joyce was a woman of deep faith and boundless love. She cherished her family, friends and her relationship with Jesus. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Whitehurst; her parents, Roy & Josephine Brady; her brother Jerry Brady; and her sister-in-law, Suzanne Brady. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kim Tadman (Daron) and Rick Whitehurst (Vickie). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Johanna (Jake), Jarrett (Madi), Reagan, Chris, Cameron and her beloved cat and best friend Bandit.
Joyce was a registered nurse for over 40 years. Being a nurse was a true calling for her, she loved helping and administering to people in need. A devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Joyce found great comfort in her faith and community. A memorial service will be held in her honor on March 27, 2025, at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 1292 W. Santa Cruz Street in San Pedro, California.
