BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. — A Putney woman was arrested on drug trafficking, felony drug possession and possession of a handgun charges when a vehicle she was in got pulled over and drug paraphernalia was seen by officers resulting in a search.
MystiDawn O’Connor-Richards, 23, was found to be in possession of a felony amount of suspected cocaine, a felony trafficking amount of fentanyl and a handgun.
According to Bellows Falls Police, on Feb. 11 at 9:49 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Route 5 at the intersection of I-91 North Exit 6 onramp for a motor vehicle violation.
Driving the vehicle was Roger L. Colby, 40, of Putney, who officers knew to have an active instate warrant issued by the Vermont Superior Court-Windham Unit with a bail set for $200. He was arrested and taken to the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
The report stated that officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and they requested a consent search.
O’Connor-Richards was arrested on her felony charges, and Crystal L. Savani, 35, of Putney, was arrested for possession of a misdemeanor amount of suspected cocaine, which is less than two-and-a-half grams.
Savani was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on March 25 at 8:30 a.m.
O’Connor-Richards was arrested and taken to the Bellows Falls Police Department. She was processed and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on March 25.
O’Connor Richards was recently arrested in Springfield for an active arrest warrant during a multi-department raid of a residence in Putney, where a fentanyl trafficking arrest was also made.
The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by Officers from the Walpole Police Department with regard to this investigation.
Additional information was requested from Bellows Falls Police pertaining to the amount of drugs that were seized, notably in the case of O’Connor-Richards who had felony charges, but not provided by deadline.
