THE FIRST TEAM

Jaden Bazin, Bellows Falls, Freshman

Overview: The freshman forward burst onto the scene and led the Terriers in scoring (12.3) and rebounding (7.2) this season. Bazin’s emergence helped Bellows Falls earn a trip to the quarterfinals after graduating many of its top players from a season ago.

Honors: VBCA Outstanding Underclassmen

Bradley Gallant, Springfield, Junior

Overview: Dick Vitale would probably refer to the junior forward as the “elevator man” for the way he can rise above the rim. Gallant’s ability to finish near the basket and grab rebounds were key factors in the Cosmos success this season.

Honors: SVL C Division Honorable Mention

Caleb Merrow, Green Mountain, Senior

Overview: The senior wing was deadly from the perimeter, highlighted by a performance against Leland & Gray where he drained seven three-pointers in one half. Merrow averaged almost 10 points per game while also making key contributions on the defensive end.

Honors: SVL C Division Honorable Mention, VBCA Senior All-Star

Tanner Swisher, Green Mountain, Senior

Overview: The senior point guard was one of the top players in the SVL C Division while leading Green Mountain in points (15.0), assists, and steals. Head Coach Matthew McCarthy also emphasized how Swisher is a “great defender” and is one of the team’s best rebounders with an average of 4.5 boards per game.

Honors: First Team SVL C Division, VBCA Senior All-Star

Nick Wiese, Springfield, Junior

Overview: The 6-foot-5 center was a handful around the hoop on both ends of the floor. Whether blocking shots, grabbing rebounds, or scoring on the interior, Wiese was a force to be reckoned with for Springfield.

Honors: SVL C Division Honorable Mention

THE SECOND TEAM

Eli Allbee, Bellows Falls, Senior

Overview: The senior guard contributed to all aspects of the game for the Terriers, posting averages of 6.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Allbee’s leadership was also critical for a squad which prominently featured three freshmen in its rotation.

Honors: VBCA Senior All-Star

Billy Blake, Windsor, Senior

Overview: The senior forward was a steady force for the Yellow Jackets this season. Blake led the team with 6.9 rebounds per game and was one of Windsor’s top scorers at 7.8 points per game.

Carson Clark, Bellows Falls, Senior

Overview: The senior transfer was a key addition for the Terriers, leading the team with 1.7 three-pointers made per game. After missing last season due to injury, Clark made a successful return to the court by averaging 8.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.

Honors: VBCA Senior All-Star

Tanner Crane, Windsor, Senior

Overview: In an elevated role this season, the senior wing averaged 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game for the Yellow Jackets. Crane’s athleticism allowed him to wreak havoc on the opposition.

Honors: VBCA Senior All-Star

Jameer Cosby, Springfield, Freshman

Overview: The freshman point guard helped soften the blow left by the departure of James Gultekin and Luke Stocker. Cosby was an exciting playmaker for the Cosmos and demonstrated an ability to connect from beyond the arc.
