CHARLESTOWN, NH— Margaret “Peggy” A. McDermott of Charlestown, NH passed away on April 9, 2025 at the Jack Byrnes Center in Lebanon, NH. Peggy was born on November 11, 1944 in Brookline, Ma to George and Margaret (Murphy) Mackey. Peggy was married to her husband Dana for more than 58 years. Peggy worked many years in produce at Ralph’s Supermarket in Charlestown. Peggy was involved with Cub Scouts as a den mother and was very involved in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Charlestown Fire Dept. Peggy loved the beach and most of all she always considered her family as her greatest gift.
Margaret is survived by her husband Dana and her sons: Brian (Kelly), Michael (Mary) and Joseph (Shelley). Her grandchildren: Taylor, Tory, Emily, Tobin. Finch and a great-grandchild: Emmerson. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Mary (Robert) Green.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday April 16, 2025 at 11:00 at St. Peter Catholic Church in North Walpole. Burial will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery after the Mass.
