More racers return to CMP just in time for Spring Fling 

CLAREMONT, N.H. — Chloe Zullo from Claremont, New Hampshire, returns to the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks. 

Also from Claremont, Dave Aiken will join the Mini Stocks. Aiken has been a long-time competitor over the years in the Pure Stocks and Six Shooters. 

With Rookie of the Year in his future, Aiden White, who was also the 2024 Ridge Runner Track Champion, will make the jump to the R.E. Hinkley Super Streets.  

From Perkinsville, Vermont, Andrew Merritt will return with his number 37 to the R.E. Hinkley Super Streets. 

Ethan Meyette is set to tackle the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks. Meyette has his sights set on the 2025 Championship. 

Steve Miller Sr. and Jr. will return as strong supporters of the Six Shooter Class. 

Jeremy Ruggeri from Unity, New Hampshire, will chase the Rookie of the Year honors in the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks. 

Meanwhile, engines come to life this weekend at Claremont Motorsports Park as the track kicks off its highly anticipated 2025 race season with the annual running of the Spring Fling — a two-day event packed with speed, competition and family-friendly excitement. 

The action begins on Friday, April 18, with an open practice session for all divisions scheduled to compete over the weekend. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m., and practice will run from 4 to 8 p.m., giving teams valuable track time to fine-tune their machines before Saturday’s showdown. 

Then on Saturday, April 19, the 2025 season officially roars to life with a full slate of racing, headlined by: 

Outlaw Late Models – Known for their speed and aggression, these machines will put on a show. 

NEMA Midgets – Lightning-fast open-wheelers sure to thrill fans of all ages. 

Nelcar Legends – High-energy racing from some of the most exciting young drivers in the region. 

Crown Vic 30-Lap Feature – A special $1,000-to-win shootout that’s sure to bring out the best. 

Additional divisions – Expect a full and competitive field across the board. 

Pit gates open early Saturday at 8 a.m., with grandstands opening at noon, and racing at 2 p.m. 

Then on Sunday April 20, Claremont Motorsports Park is set to deliver high-octane excitement with Day 2 of the Spring Fling. Headlining the action will be the Asetex Tire and Auto Modifieds in a thrilling 78-lap showdown, with a $3,000 payday awaiting the winner. 
Fans will also be treated to a marquee 100-lap Late Model feature, with a $2,200 winner’s purse and an added bonus: the victor will earn a guaranteed starting spot in the prestigious Keith Morris Memorial at Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park on June 13. 
“This is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the early season,” said track officials. “With strong payouts and a chance to lock into one of the summer’s premier races, the competition is going to be fierce.” 
Don’t miss your chance to experience top-tier short track racing and family-friendly fun this Easter Sunday. Grandstands open at noon, with racing action beginning at 2 p.m. 
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and bring the family out for what promises to be an electric start to the 2025 season.  

On the track, Stephen Donahue is set to make a full season run at the Late Model championship at Claremont Motorsports Park in 2025. The Graniteville, Vermont, native will make the hour-and-a-half tow south to compete against some of the best Late Model drivers in the region. 

Driving the One Credit Union, Prime Salon & Day Spa Donohue Motorsports 26vt machine, Donohue is eager to challenge for victories and establish himself as a title contender. With years of experience behind the wheel, he is no stranger to high-stakes competition and is ready to take on the challenge of the fast-paced Claremont oval. 

“We’re excited to welcome Stephen Donahue to Claremont Motorsports Park for the 2025 season,” said track management. “His talent and dedication will make for an even more competitive Late Model division, and we can’t wait to see him in action.” 

Claremont Motorsports Park is entering its second season hosting Late Model action, the 2025 season promises to be an exciting one, with Donohue joining a field of top-tier competitors in pursuit of championship glory. 

Claremont Motorsports Park is also proud to welcome back Jeff Murray and the Murray Motorsports American Tire and Brake Troyer Modified for the highly anticipated 2025 season. With a renewed focus and determination, Murray will take on the ultra-competitive 604 Modifieds, bringing his talent and experience to one of the toughest divisions in the region. 

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Murray back in action. Known for his aggressive yet calculated driving style, Murray is ready to make a statement and contend for victories in his return to the historic short track. 

“I’m excited to be back at Claremont Motorsports Park and to take on the challenge of the Asetex Tire & Auto 604 Modifieds,” said Murray. “This is a stout field, but we’re ready to put in the work and compete at the highest level.” 

With strong backing from American Tire and Brake and a finely tuned Troyer Modified, Murray and his team are gearing up for an unforgettable season.
