Newport Golf Club course opened yesterday

NEWPORT, N.H. — After much discussion, the Newport Golf Club postponed opening date by a few days due to the weather forecast but opened for tee times on Monday, April 14.

The decision has not been made about cart status yet, so please call the Pro Shop before coming out if you need to ride, as it may be walking only for a while. It is anticipated that carts will be allowed out relatively quickly this spring, but that is weather-dependent.

The putting green is now open for practice and the driving range opened Wednesday, April 9.

The simulators will be available for indoor play all summer. The pavilion is a climate-controlled building, so if it’s too cold, too hot or too rainy to play outside, but your foursome still wants to hit, the simulators offer a nice alternative to the real thing.

Call the Pro Shop at 603-863-7787 for indoor or outdoor tee times. As a reminder, non-members may book up to one week in advance and members may book up to two weeks in advance. For group bookings of nine or more people, please call the Pro Shop and speak to Keith, or email him at [email protected]

In addition to advance tee time booking privileges, members also have access to early booking on our most popular events like Glow Ball and Over-the-River, access to members-only tournaments and — new this year — discounts on all Pro Shop merchandise and lessons.

Sign up now through NewportGolfClub-NH.com before slots fill up for the season.
