Riverbank Church holds first service at new location on Easter Sunday

CLAREMONT, N.H. — The grand opening of the new Riverbank Church Claremont location is officially here.

On Easter Sunday (April 20, 2025), the very first Sunday morning worship experience will be held at the new church home at 75 Winter Street in Claremont. Members of the community are invited to “come and see” on this Easter Sunday at the 9:30 or 11 a.m. experiences for a time of worship, celebration and encouragement.

The sale of the old armory building to Riverbank Church took place in January; with the previous occupants still operating at the location up until March 31, there has been a lot of preparation taking place in a short time to get ready for the planned opening on Easter Sunday. Guests who attend can expect to find many exciting new features including a 200-seat auditorium (with room to grow), lots of space designated for our Riverbank Kids programming, and even space for our popular Compassion Cafe, among many others.

As Riverbank continues to grow, intentions for the space in the future could include:

– Multi-purpose classrooms and spaces for additional children and family programs

– Meeting spaces for recovery programs and community education opportunities

– Expanding the indoor and outdoor community areas for gathering, connecting and fostering community growth and engagement

– Multi-functional space to serve the community through blood drives, family assistance services/programs, hosted events and conferences for local organizations, and more

Riverbank Church was originally launched in 2010 by Lead Pastor Chris Goeppner, along with several area families. Over the past 15 years, the church has grown to more than 1,000 members and currently operates two locations in White River Junction, Vermont, and Claremont, New Hampshire. Prior to making the move to 75 Winter Street, Riverbank Church Claremont had been functioning as a “pop up” each week at the former Claremont Cinema since 2018. Over those nearly seven years, under the care of Location Pastor Tom Schutzius, the Claremont location has continued to experience significant growth and now has more than 200 members from the greater Claremont area attending each week.
