Peter Bruce Towle, Sr.

CLAREMONT, NH— It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Bruce Towle, Sr. 

Peter, known to most as “Pete”, will forever be remembered as a hard worker, jokester, father of four sons and a motorcycle enthusiast and hunter.

Pete passed away on the evening of April 17th, 2025 after a brief period of declining health.

Pete was born in March of 1945, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Bernard and Mary Towle and was the oldest of nine siblings.

Pete was known as a hard worker and took pride in rarely missing a day of work. Pete worked a multitude of jobs that included taxi driver, mill worker, delivery driver, and machinist. Pete loved to laugh and to make others laugh and many people have stories about adventurous times spent with Pete.

Pete loved all things “Harley Davidson” and took pride in riding motorcycles for many decades and spent many sunny days traveling the roads with friends and his sons.

Pete is predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Jean Thompson Towle and two of his sons, Jeffrey Towle and Justin Towle.

His surviving family includes his sons, Peter Towle, Jr and Jeramie Towle, and his grandchildren, Riley (Towle) Emond and Raevyn Stocker-Towle. Pete is also survived by his stepchildren, Jean Bailey, Robin Fellows and Asa Fellows. He is also survived by his siblings,Terry, Marty, Dan, Bernie, Cathy and Mary. He is predeceased by three siblings: Stephen Towle, Suzanne Gaumont and Robert Towle. 

Funeral Service will be held at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont, NH on Saturday, May 3rdwith Visiting hours from 1 to 2 and a service at 2pm followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: (Pete wanted donations toward some sort of “dementia research” or likeminded organization)

Peter Towle will be greatly missed, but we will cherish the many stories, laughs and memories that he left behind as he lived a full and adventurous life.
