Ginger A. Shampney (Martin)

NEWPORT, NH— Ginger Ann Shampney of Newport NH, died peacefully friday, April 18th 2025 surrounded by her family from complications with lung cancer. Ginger was born to Arnold Martin and Irene(Hale) Martin, in Springfield VT. She grew up in VT and In CA before finishing high school in Newport in 1973. Ginger loved going to the races as her family was a big part of the racing community. She loved fishing, dancing, crocheting, diamond art ,bingo and watching her grandsons, Jeramhia and Dustin race motocross. She loved watching all her grandchildren play sports. They were her pride and joy.Ginger had two children, Tina and Amy from her spouse Alan Trombley. Later in life she married Fred Shampney until his death in 2012. Ginger had a spontaneous personality and could always make you laugh. She loved helping people and became a life long member of the VFW Auxiliary in Charlestown NH. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Irene, her son Brian Martin, her husband Fred Shampney and her daughter Amy Bedell. Her surviving family include her daughter Tina Trombley, sister Barbara Harding (jim), brother wilbur Martin, Leo Martin( Charlotte), Helen Macedo(Russell)Her grandchildren Dustin Gray, Jeramhia Bedell, Kyle Bedell and Makaylie Gray. Along with several neices and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Charlestown VFW on May 10th, 12:00pm.
