CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Mobile Sources Section has opened a new $5.1 million Request for Proposals (RFP) through the Granite State Clean Fleets program. GSCF is a competitive reimbursement program for public and private entities funded by the New Hampshire Volkswagen Mitigation Trust. GSCF focuses on reducing diesel emissions by scrapping and replacing older diesel vehicles and engines with newer units. Eligible projects include replacing diesel units with newer, cleaner diesel or alternative fuel (including electric) units. NHDES is accepting project proposals until Friday, May 23 at 4 p.m. ET. More information on project and applicant eligibility, funding limits, and grant requirements can be found in the GSCF RFP, which is located on the GSCF program webpage along with the application forms. Mobile Sources also hosted a GSCF Webinar and Q&A Session on April 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
NHDES anticipates releasing a second $5.1 million GSCF RFP in the latter half of 2025. Program terms and conditions are subject to change from the first RFP.
